What a beautiful compilation of bittersweet memories Kenda. I had no idea you lost so many precious people this past year. I’m sending blessings to you all as you recover from these losses.
I love seeing you and Scott with your families and Stella. And what a wonderful cute house you have and a wonderful life and, of course, a glorious critter-loving garden! Thanks for including me. I especially loved the birds and the bees and the butterflies. You’re such a nature angel.
    I love you tons, Lorraine

    Happy New Year!!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful update. It made my heart smile.
Somehow I missed last year’s montage – so it was especially nice.
I’m so sorry for the losses you experienced this year. What a lovely remembrance.
I think about you so often <3
    Here's to a happy and healthy '24
    Heidi

    1. Heidi, I’m so happy to hear from you! I think about you, so often, too. I’ve been off of social media for over 2 years, so I’m out of touch. I really appreciate your reaching out to me and taking the time to write this sweet message. Thank you.

Here’s hoping you and your fam have a sweet year ahead.
      Big hugs to you,
      Kenda

Hello my friend. Thank you for this wonderful visit with you and yours. I’m so sorry about your Uncle Tony. He was truly larger than life. And your mama, she has not changed….still the conversationalist, the curious lady…I loved seeing her. And the babies, and dogs and flowers and butterflies- your life is full of life- thank you for sharing it all. LOVE LOVE LOVE

What a beautiful photo montage! I think my new nick name for you is “Butterfly Whisperer”! Your garden looks amazing and your grandchildren too! It seems like the cycle of life was in turbo gear in ’23. I’m sending many hugs for the many losses your family experienced and always much love. Annie B

    1. Annie B, thank you. I’m kinda digging the “Butterfly Whisperer” with a big shovel! You said it perfectly – the cycle of life was in turbo gear in ’23. I sure hope ’24 is more chill. I think the tricycle of life is about what I’m looking for in ’24–slow and steady with no drama, angst, or pain, and a ride easy-enough for even a toddler to manage comfortably.

Big love and hugs to you and the whole fam!

Thank you for sharing -love hearing from you and seeing your family and your adventures. A day does not go by that my
ankle and I don’t thank you and your blog
especially when I hiked the Blue Ridge Mountains this summer. I will be 77 in March???? and you said, “I would do it”????!

You look great—lots of health and happiness in 2024!

    1. Thank you so much for your message, Nancy. It’s fabulous to hear from you. I LOVE that you hiked the Blue Ridge Mountains! But of course you did. You’re one determined woman, and that ankle needs to explore!

I hope life is grand for you in ’24.

    1. Thank you, Kristina! I expanded–bit by bit–the native gardens from April to November and will continue to do so this year. I’m going for the semi-wild meadow look with the long-term aim of decreasing the lawn to “enough space for Stella to do her business”. It’ll be a sea of flowers amongst a multitude of perfectly sterile, manicured lawns in my hood. You remain an inspiration to me. Thanks for all you do for making the planet a better place for our pollineighbors.

      Still miss you.
      Lots of love,
      Kenda

    Hello and Happy New year!
Love this Kenda. The joy and smiles were uplifting…your “littles” are precious – beautiful baby too! Congratulations.

So sorry to see those you lost and the photos of them when they were vibrant and younger. Hard to see them and know they are gone – life is so precious.

Nice to see your smiling and adorable face and the happiness you share with everything and everyone! The garden and you house are amazing. Love them.

    Love,
Jane (..and btw – 5 years today for me! – I don’t stand on stools on January 1st and I lay low!)

    1. I’m so happy to hear from you, Jane! Hard to believe it’s been 5 years. Look how far you’ve come! I totally support your laying low and staying off stools on January 1st!

Thank you for your sweet words–on all counts. It means a lot. I miss hearing from you. Drop me a line every now and then. I haven’t been keeping up the blog, so it’s getting less traffic. Still, the Trimalleolar posts are the most read. Just fewer commenters these days. A lot has changed in the 12 1/2 years since my T-day.

Lots of love to you xo
      Kenda
